According to the Palestinian Ministry of Education, Al Jazeera International News Network reports that since October 7, 2023, more than 630,000 Palestinian students have been deprived of their right to education.
Officials from the ministry state that this number of students will be unable to attend school once again on Monday, as the educational system is facing problems and disturbances for the second consecutive year due to the attacks by Israeli forces.
The ministry has decided that 58,000 students will enroll in the first grade and start school today.
Additionally, 39,000 students were unable to participate in the high school exam.
The Palestinian Ministry of Education added that more than 25,000 Palestinian children have been martyred or injured due to the attacks, of which more than 10,000 are students.
Furthermore, about 90 percent of the buildings of 307 government schools have been destroyed.
