The work of the TAPI project and other development projects (oil and gas, energy, and transport) between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan was officially inaugurated today in the presence of Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of Turkmenistan.
The prime minister called the TAPI project one of the great achievements of the Islamic Emirate and the foundation of Afghanistan’s progress.
The prime minister said these projects would strengthen the friendship between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and bring many benefits to the nations of the two countries.
The prime minister also instructed the officials of the relevant Emirati departments to work hard to complete these projects with honesty, sincerity, and acceptance of fatigue.
Meanwhile, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said today is a historic day for the two countries and a new page has been opened in the relations between the two countries. “An important part of our policy is to continue our economic, political, and diplomatic cooperation with Afghanistan,” he said.
Meanwhile, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow said that friendly, fraternal, and good neighborly relations between the two countries are developing and the implementation of these important projects is of great importance not only for the interests of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan but also for the interests of the region.
