Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), hosted a meeting with several Iranian investors at his office to discuss potential investment opportunities in Afghanistan’s electricity sector.
During the meeting, Dr. Omar emphasized the favorable environment DABS has created for both foreign and domestic investors, stating that efforts are underway to enhance facilities and improve investment conditions in the electricity sector.
Dr. Omar also assured the Iranian investors of DABS’s full cooperation across various areas of interest, from electricity generation to the implementation of digital systems aimed at increasing electricity production.
The Iranian investors expressed their appreciation for the commitment of DABS leadership to support investment initiatives. They indicated their readiness to invest in electricity production and stated their intention to present a detailed plan for a specific project to expedite the process.
Concluding the meeting, Dr. Omar tasked the technical teams with organizing a follow-up technical meeting with the investors to prioritize and address key electricity initiatives.
