Today, on Tuesday, the head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Noor Ud din Turabi, met with the president of the Research Institute for Social Development (CDRO), Siraj Ud din Sherzad and his deputy, Mohammad Naeem Akhundzada, at his office.
Turabi Sahb welcomed the team from the institute and emphasized that now, more than ever, institutions need to provide assistance to those in need, especially with winter approaching.
He also thanked CDRO for their efforts in providing assistance and stressed the importance of swift aid delivery.
Sherzad expressed his gratitude to Turabi Sahb and stated that they are working hard to deliver aid to people during the winter season.
He mentioned that they plan to provide assistance in the provinces of Khost, Ghazni, and Nuristan, and have already started the process in Nuristan.
It is worth noting that in the districts of Nuristan, including Wama, Burgimatal, Kamdesh, Want Waygal, Kantova, Nurgaram, Wadab, and Mandool, 15,178 deserving families will receive $207 each for winter supplies through CDRO supported financially by UNICEF.
