H.E Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanifi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with members of the Temporary Housing Committee of the High Commission for Addressing the Problems of Returining Migrants.
During the meeting, Mr. Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rashid, the technical deputy of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates, presented a report highlighting the committee’s recent activities and accomplishments.
He mentioned the rise in forced returns from neighboring countries but emphasized that through the leadership of the commission and the collaboration of other committees, they have effectively tackled the housing needs of returning refugees.
H.E Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanifi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs welcomed the Temporary Housing Committee members and expressed his gratitude for their hard work in addressing housing issues for returning refugees.
He noted that, as the cold season approaches, officials from all committees, particularly the Temporary Housing Committee, should take steps to ensure that returning Afghans do not face difficulties.
