The UnitedNations said on Friday that a record number of aid workers had been killed this year, with the war in Gaza accounting for the majority of the 281 deaths worldwide.
According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the figure surpasses the previous year’s high of 280 deaths, set in 2023.
This year, at least 178 humanitarian workers have been killed in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza, 25 in Sudan, and 11 in Ukraine.
