The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, conducted an online meeting in his office with representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO), GAVI, UNICEF, and key vaccination partners.
Throughout the meeting, participants engaged in detailed discussions focused on fortifying the national vaccination program, enhancing its overall effectiveness, and promoting greater coordination among stakeholders.
Moreover, they deliberated on strategies to increase the nationwide coverage of vaccinations.
His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali highlighted the pivotal role vaccines play in preventing diseases and urged the partners to ensure that their initiatives align with the Ministry of Public Health’s priorities and policies.
Additionally, he underscored the critical importance of maintaining transparency and accountability in all related activities.
Notably, the Ministry of Public Health has allocated a budget for the coming year specifically to address measles, with plans to initiate a comprehensive nationwide vaccination campaign against the disease.
