Hamas political bureau member Khalil al-Hayya stated on Wednesday that the Palestinian people will not forget anyone involved in what he termed a “war of genocide.” He described the actions of the Israeli occupation and its supporters as a brutal genocidal war, likening them to “Nazi-like crimes” that will be remembered by both Palestinians and the world as one of the most heinous genocides of modern times.
During a press conference, al-Hayya expressed pride in the resilience of the people in Gaza, highlighting their steadfastness in the face of aggression. He acknowledged the support of various countries, including Türkiye, South Africa, Algeria, Russia, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and emphasized that the occupation’s attempts to achieve its goals were met with unwavering resistance.
He stated, “Our people have remained firm on their land, neither fleeing nor migrating, serving as the protective shield for their resistance.” Addressing the extensive destruction in Gaza, al-Hayya expressed hope that, with divine assistance and the support of allies, they would rebuild the region anew. He criticized Israel for bringing only devastation and massacres, asserting that it secured its captives through negotiations with the resistance rather than military victory.
Al-Hayya also expressed gratitude to the Houthi group in Yemen, Hezbollah, and Iran for their support, and praised the efforts of Qatar and Egypt in facilitating negotiations to halt the aggression against the Palestinian people.
