Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet met with H.E. Ambassador Cihad Erginay, Director General of South Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at the OIC General Secretariat on March 9, 2025.
During their meeting, both sides exchanged views on key political, economic, and humanitarian issues concerning Afghanistan and explored potential areas of collaboration. They discussed strategies to address pressing challenges in line with relevant OIC resolutions and emphasized the importance of sustained engagement to support the Afghan people while fostering constructive dialogue with the IEA authorities.
Ambassador Bakheet acknowledged Türkiye’s positive role and contributions toward advancing OIC objectives. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and dialogue to promote peace, prosperity, and stability in Afghanistan.
