The Proposal for Constructing a Commercial Market in Sar-e-Pul Province Deemed Approvable

The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on March 25, 2025, at Marmarin Palace.

During this meeting, the proposal for constructing a commercial market by the private sector on the municipality land in Sar-e-Pul province, along with several other investment proposals in various sectors, was presented for discussion.

Following comprehensive discussions, the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee, after considering the submitted amendments, deemed the proposal for constructing a commercial market on the municipality land in Sar-e-Pul province approvable and referred it to the Economic Commission for final approval.

According to the proposal, the private sector will invest approximately 96 million Afghanis to construct a five-story commercial market, which will include 341 shops along with underground parking.

In this meeting, the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee also reviewed proposals submitted by the private sector regarding automobile manufacturing in Kabul Industrial Park, a strategic framework for the country’s economic development, and the construction of a commercial market at the Islam Qala border crossing.

Relevant committees were assigned to conduct comprehensive evaluations of these proposals, engage in technical discussions with the proposing companies, and submit their reports to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee by the specified deadlines.
