Nearly 500 Afghan migrants were deported from Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab provinces

Nearly 500 Afghan migrants were deported from Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab provinces on Sunday, as part of an ongoing crackdown by Pakistani authorities.

According to the Information Minister of Sindh, 307 Afghan migrants were deported from the province that day.

Meanwhile, local officials in Punjab reported that 157 Afghan migrants were removed from the Jhelum region and transferred to the hypothetical Torkham line.

Pakistani police have launched a widespread operation across various parts of the country to arrest and forcibly deport Afghan migrants—a move that has drawn criticism from the UnitedNations and other international organizations.
