Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi Met with Afghan Ambassador for China

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, Met with Mawlawi Asadullah Bilal Karimi, Afghan Ambassador to China, today.

Mawlawi Asadullah Bilal Karimi provided an overview of the activities and programs of the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate in the People’s Republic of China.

Mr. Karimi stated that relations between the two countries are currently at their best in various fields including trade and investment.

He emphasized that the Afghan Embassy in Beijing continues to strive to strengthen and deepen bilateral exchanges. The Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate also highlighted progress in consular services for Afghans & businessmen residing in China.

He noted that the Afghan Embassy is committed to providing essential services, including the issuance of passports for Afghans living in China, addressing their challenges, and issuing visas to clients from other countries.

Honorable Karimi added that Chinese businessmen and companies have shown keen interest in investing in various sectors in Afghanistan, such as mining, energy, and technology.

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, in his welcoming remarks, noted the long-standing and close ties between Afghanistan and China as neighboring countries, and expressed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations.

The Deputy Prime Minister referred to the Embassy of Afghanistan in Beijing as the representative of the Afghan people in the People’s Republic of China. He emphasized that the country’s diplomatic, economic, and business efforts should better reflect Afghanistan’s image in the host country and work to strengthen bilateral relations.

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi urged the officials at the Afghan Embassy to actively serve and support Afghans living in China.
