H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with a group of Shiite scholars and community elders.
At the start of the meeting, Ustad Mohammad Akbari and Sayed Hossein Alami Balkhi spoke on behalf o f the delegation, praising the Islamic Emirate’s developmental efforts and noting that the officials’ decisiveness has fostered optimism.
They also expressed hope that the continued implementation of development programs throughout various regions will help create employment opportunities for the people and especially the youth.
The scholars and elders of the Shiite community also pointed out several social issues and called for serious attention from the leadership of the Islamic Emirate in addressing them.
H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi welcomed the guests and stated that, according to the policy of the Islamic Emirate, all people of Afghanistan are considered brothers, and no form of discrimination or prejudice is acceptable.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the Islamic Emirate is committed to serving the people of Afghanistan and will continue its developmental initiatives in a fair and balanced manner across all regions, based on available resources.
In conclusion, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi emphasized that Afghanistan is the shared home of all its inhabitants, and everyone has an important role to play in its reconstruction and progress.
