Mohammad Suhail Shaheen, the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) in Qatar, held a meeting with Jean Marin Schuh, the Chargé d’Affaires of France to Afghanistan, to discuss the future of bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to the Afghan Embassy in Qatar, the meeting focused on a range of key issues including the current political landscape, the expansion of diplomatic and economic ties between Afghanistan and France, the continuation of humanitarian assistance, and France’s ongoing support for the preservation of Afghanistan’s historical and cultural heritage.
Ambassador Shaheen also urged the French official to consider reopening France’s diplomatic representation in Kabul, emphasizing the importance of direct engagement in fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.
