President Donald Trump is set to arrive in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, marking the first stop of a three-day Middle East tour that will also include visits to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
According to the White House, the trip is being billed as a “historic return to the Middle East” and marks the first official state visit of Trump’s second term. The focus of the tour will be on strengthening strategic ties, boosting economic cooperation, and advancing regional diplomacy.
In Saudi Arabia, Trump is expected to pursue a landmark $1 trillion investment deal with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman—an ambitious leap from the crown prince’s previous $600 billion pledge.
The talks are also expected to cover broader diplomatic issues, including efforts toward a Gaza ceasefire and ongoing discussions around normalising relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Trump’s visits to Qatar and the UAE will similarly focus on economic partnerships and regional security cooperation.
