A celebratory parade in Liverpool turned tragic on Monday when a car rammed into a crowd of fans celebrating the city’s Premier League title win, leaving at least 50 people injured.
The driver, a 53-year-old British man, has been arrested. Authorities have stated that the incident is not believed to be terrorism-related.
According to police and emergency services, 20 people were treated at the scene, while 27 others were taken to hospital.
Among the injured were four children, with one child and one adult reported to be in serious condition, according to Reuters.
