All members of the UN Security Council, except the United States, issued a joint statement demanding an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
The statement urged Israel to halt its military operations and withdraw from its objectives in Gaza. It also described the starvation crisis as a man-made tragedy, stressing that the use of starvation as a weapon is prohibited under international law.
The announcement comes as 313 Palestinians, including 119 children, have been martyred from starvation and malnutrition in Gaza.
