At least 64,605 Palestinians have been martyred in Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, as six more people died of starvation in the besieged enclave, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
According to the ministry, 83 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 223 people were injured, bringing the total number of wounded to 163,319 since the start of the onslaught.
“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.
The ministry also reported that 14 Palestinians were martyred and more than 37 others injured by Israeli army fire while trying to receive humanitarian aid in the past 24 hours. This raised the toll of Palestinians martyred while seeking aid to 2,444, with over 17,831 others wounded since May 27.
It further noted that six more Palestinians died of malnutrition and starvation in the last 24 hours, bringing the famine-related death toll since October 2023 to 399 people, including 140 children.
