The second day of the technical meeting between the Turkmen delegation and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), focused on energy sector cooperation, was held today in Kabul.
Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, Chief Executive Officer of DABS, on the second day of this joint technical meeting, held discussions with the Turkmen delegation regarding several key energy projects.
These included the TAP (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan) electricity transmission project, the 500 kV transmission line from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, the 500 kV Kerki-Kabul transmission line, and electricity supply projects for Bala Murghab district in Badghis province and Khamab and Qarqin districts in Jawzjan province, along with other joint initiatives.
During the session, Mr. Murad Artikov, Director General of International Projects at TurkmenEnergo (Turkmenistan’s electricity authority), expressed appreciation for the technical cooperation provided by DABS in project implementation. He stated that this ongoing collaboration would further strengthen joint efforts between the two friendly countries in the energy sector.
The meeting is expected to conclude tomorrow with the signing of a protocol, aiming to enhance coordination and effectiveness in the development of various electricity-related projects.
