The Minister of Borders, Ethnic and Tribal Affairs and Chairman of the Border Commission, Mullah Noorullah Noori, held a meeting with Kazem Gharib Abadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, and his accompanying delegation to discuss coordination between the two countries, preventing smuggling, and the renewal of border markers.
Mr. Noori stated that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and genuine cooperation in resolving shared issues.
He added that the Islamic Emirate has taken serious measures to prevent smuggling and pledged that technical teams from both countries will soon continue their meetings to begin the necessary work.
Mr. Gharib Abadi, for his part, said that Iran’s technical teams will coordinate with Afghanistan to carry out procedures related to the renewal of the border markers.
