Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan, met with Fahad Abdul Rahman al-Jalajal, Minister of Health of Saudi Arabia, during his official visit to the country. The Pakistani Minister of Health was also present at the meeting.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, discussions focused on preventive measures for communicable and non-communicable diseases, drug abuse prevention, enhanced cooperation in the health sector, ensuring the quality and legal import of medicines, effective coordination for polio eradication, and the contributions of the King Salman Charity Foundation in strengthening Afghanistan’s health sector.
During the meeting, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali emphasized the importance of joint efforts to eradicate polio and affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to promoting disease prevention and improving health conditions in Afghanistan through collaborative programs.
The Ministers of Health of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, in turn, assured continued cooperation in polio eradication, drug abuse prevention, and the strengthening of Afghan health institutions.
