The Nangarhar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock reports that tangerine production in the province is expected to reach 2,214 metric tons this year, marking a 5% increase compared to last year.
Mohammad Wali Mohsen, the department’s director, said that tangerine orchards have now expanded across 13 districts, covering 215.6 hectares of land. He added that this year’s harvest is expected to be stronger than in previous years due to improved cultivation practices and favorable conditions.
