Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, said in an interview with an Indian media outlet that it is a fact and should be acknowledged that the Islamic Emirate has full control over the situation in Afghanistan.
Mr. Putin described the leaders of the Islamic Emirate as capable and added that the Emirate is openly fighting terrorism, including ISIS, and has significantly reduced poppy cultivation.
The Russian President also stated that if anyone wants to play a positive role in the situation in Afghanistan and the region, they should engage with the Islamic Emirate, as Russia does.
