The extraction of biruj mines in the Annaba and Abshar districts of Panjshir province is set to officially begin soon.
In a press release, the Panjshir provincial government said the mines were previously extracted on a trial basis and yielded positive results.
According to the statement, more than 15,000 local workers are currently employed in the mining sector in Panjshir.
