Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said that recent protests in the country were initially peaceful but were later infiltrated by “armed terrorist groups” seeking to divert them from their original course.
Speaking at a meeting with foreign ambassadors and diplomats in Tehran, Araghchi said Iran has evidence that security forces were fired upon in an attempt to increase casualties, claiming this aligns with the demands of former US President Donald Trump.
He added that recorded audio has been obtained in which individuals are allegedly instructed to shoot at anyone possible, including ordinary civilians.
