Saadi Sharifi, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kabul, met with H.E. Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Mr. of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Mr. Muttaqi stressed that the friendly relations and climate of trust between the two neighboring countries cannot be undermined, reaffirming the Islamic Emirate’s strong commitment to further strengthening ties with Tajikistan.
In turn, Ambassador Sharifi noted that Tajikistan has significant economic programs and projects along the shared border and, with goodwill and based on existing realities, seeks to deepen its relations with Afghanistan.
The two sides concluded the meeting by discussing the formation of a joint economic committee, enhancing border and security cooperation, and outlining the plans of both foreign ministries for the coming year.
