Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, held a telephone conversation with Faisal bin Farhan, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the discussion focused on recent developments and measures to reduce regional violence.
Reports indicate that, in addition to contacting Saudi Arabia, Pakistan has also reached out to the foreign ministers of Oman and Qatar, seeking mediation to prevent further counterattacks by Afghan Defense Forces against Pakistani militias.
