Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, held a telephone conversation with Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi, Qatari State Minister, to discuss recent regional developments, Pakistan’s ongoing aggression against Afghanistan, and the situation in the Middle East.
Mr. Muttaqi expressed concern over regional tensions, condemning not only Pakistan’s actions against Afghanistan but also the U.S. and Israeli aggression against Iran and the widening conflict in the Gulf.
He further emphasized that the Islamic Emirate prioritizes diplomacy, respect for national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity over escalating violence.
On the other hand, the Qatari State Minister highlighted the current regional challenges, including intercepted Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks on Qatar, and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to peace and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
In conclusion, both sides agreed on the importance of continued dialogue, diplomatic engagement, and consultation.
