An Iranian missile strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia injured 12 U.S. troops and damaged several refueling aircraft, according to media reports.
Two of the wounded were seriously injured, while the attack also involved unmanned aerial vehicles, The Wall Street Journal reported. The strike comes amid escalating regional tensions, with U.S. Central Command saying more than 300 American troops have been injured over four weeks of conflict with Iran.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the war could continue for “another two to four weeks,” adding that preventing Iran from imposing tolls on ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz would be a key challenge after the conflict.
