Three Shipments of Substandard Construction Materials Rejected at Islam Qala Port

In continuation of its persistent efforts to ensure the quality of imported materials and safeguard the market, the Standard and Quality Authority (ASQA) rejected three shipments of channels and angle irons with a total weight of 70 tons at Islam Qala port, returning them to the country of origin.

Following rigorous inspections and technical evaluations, these shipments were denied entry into the national markets due to their failure to meet established quality standards.

The Standard and Quality Authority emphasizes that the process of quality assessment and control for imported goods remains transparent, systematic, and decisive across all national ports. No leniency will be shown toward the entry of substandard, non-standard, or hazardous materials that pose a risk to public safety.
