Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, Deputy Minister for Food and Medicine at the Ministry of Public Health, held talks with Jamshid Badalov, Deputy Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan, and a delegation representing Uzbek pharmaceutical manufacturing companies.
The Ministry of Public Health stated that discussions during the meeting focused on the commencement of pharmaceutical exports from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan in accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides, Afghanistan’s domestic production capacity, the need for the import of certain medicines, and investment opportunities in the pharmaceutical and healthcare products sector .
They also discussed facilitating the registration process for foreign companies and exploring investment opportunities in the medicines and health products sector, and emphasized strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding trade relations.
