According to the IRNA news agency, Iran and the United States have agreed on a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the war. The agreement includes the following key provisions:
• An immediate and permanent ceasefire and the cessation of all military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.
• A mutual commitment to respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to refrain from interference in internal affairs.
• The launch of negotiations for a final agreement within a maximum period of 60 days.
• The lifting of the naval blockade on Iran and the withdrawal of US forces from Iran’s vicinity according to an agreed timetable.
• Guarantees for the safe passage of commercial vessels through the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, along with regional cooperation on maritime management.
• The development of a plan for Iran’s economic reconstruction and development, supported by at least $300 billion in financial assistance.
• The gradual lifting of all sanctions, including US sanctions and restrictions related to Iran’s nuclear program.
• Iran’s commitment not to produce or acquire nuclear weapons and to resolve issues related to enriched nuclear material under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
• Maintaining the current status of Iran’s nuclear program and refraining from imposing new sanctions until a final agreement is reached.
• The issuance of necessary licenses for Iran’s oil and petrochemical exports, as well as related financial and transportation services.
• The unfreezing of Iran’s assets and financial resources and ensuring full access to them.
• The establishment of a joint monitoring mechanism to oversee the implementation of the agreement.
• Endorsement of the final agreement through a binding resolution of the United Nations Security Council.
