Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), met with Ganay Kosah, CEO of the company contracted to construct the first turbine (generator) at Mahipar Power Dam, to discuss the project’s progress, technical aspects, and related issues.
The contractor’s CEO said the company is prepared to increase the generating capacity of the dam’s first turbine from 22 megawatts (MW) to 26 MW.
Mr. Hamkar said that increasing the turbine’s generating capacity is an important technical matter. He added that a final decision will be made only after a comprehensive technical assessment, precise measurements, and the approval of the relevant technical authorities.
