Mulla Mohammad Nasir Akhund, Minister of Finance, held a meeting with Jumah Nazarov Akmal, Head of Uzbekistan’s Standards Agency, to discuss expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
The Ministry of Finance stated that the two sides discussed the resumption of bilateral economic commissions, the establishment of an advanced oil laboratory at Hairatan Port, facilitation of customs procedures for import and export goods, expansion of bilateral trade, activation of customs systems, and modernization of customs infrastructure.
The Head of Uzbekistan’s Standards Agency said Uzbekistan plans to establish an advanced laboratory for imported and exported goods at Hairatan Port and provide professional training for Afghan personnel in this sector.
