Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, Director General of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA), held a coordination meeting with representatives of several international organizations and partner institutions.
According to ANDMA, Mr. Turabi urged partner organizations to increase their cooperation in addressing the urgent needs of disaster-affected communities, implementing preventive projects, and strengthening preparedness for natural disasters.
During the meeting, both sides discussed managing the impacts of climate change and the El Niño phenomenon, responding to the recent floods, improving coordination during emergencies, strengthening early warning systems, assessing the needs of affected communities, and mobilizing resources to reduce disaster risks.
