To strengthen the public information process and enhance the level of interaction and coordination between the Emirati institutions and the media, a coordination meeting titled “The Government Through the Lens of the Press” was held at the Government Media and Information Center.
The meeting was attended by senior officials and representatives of the Emirati institutions, media representatives, and a number of analysts.
At the outset of the meeting, the Director of the Government Media and Information Center, Mawlawi Naeem-ul-Haq Haqqani, welcomed the participants and outlined the objectives of the program and its implementation mechanism. He stated that the initiative had been established to highlight the activities and achievements of the Emirate institutions, as well as to further strengthen coordination and cooperation between the media and the Emirate institutions.
Subsequently, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister, H.E. Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi Khadem, addressed the role and significance of the media. He stated that such meetings and programs play an important and constructive role in effectively showcasing the achievements, public services, and development projects of the Emirate institutions.
Thereafter, the Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, provided detailed information regarding the program and noted that the Islamic Emirate has achieved significant progress across various sectors. He emphasized that these achievements should be communicated to the public through the media. He further stated that organizing such meetings and programs is essential for reflecting these achievements and delivering accurate and reliable information to the public.
Following this, the Director General of the Administrative Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mawlawi Noor-ul-Haq Anwar, spoke on the importance of public information and stressed that the accurate, timely, and reliable dissemination of information contributes to enhancing public awareness and further strengthening trust and confidence between the people and the government.
Likewise, the Minister of Information and Culture, Sheikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani, described the initiative as an important step toward enhancing interaction and cooperation between the media and the Emirate institutions. He added that such meetings play a valuable role in strengthening the public information process and enhancing coordination between the media and the Emirate institutions.
During the meeting, the Director General of the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education and Sports, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq; the Professional Deputy Minister of Economy, Dr. Abdul Latif Nazari; and the Director of Political and Public Affairs of the Office of the Prime Minister, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mufti Mahmood Zakiri, also welcomed the initiative in their respective remarks. They described it as an important and constructive measure and emphasized the continuation and further expansion of such meetings and programs.
The meeting concluded with prayers for the prosperity, stability, and well-being of the country, the Sharia law-based government, and its people.
