The special forces of the Islamic Emirate have captured key members of the insurgent group responsible for the attack on the employees of the Directorate of Compliance and Oversight of Orders and Decrees on the 2nd September 2024, and have been involved in several other attacks in Kabul and an attack on foreign tourists in Bamiyan province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Operations against this group have been carried out in Kabul and Nangarhar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During these operations, a Tajik national was arrested from the hideout of the mastermind behind the attack. This individual was planning to carry out a suicide bombing. In addition, the special forces seized an explosive vest, two firearms, and ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further investigation revealed that the attacker who targeted the employees of the Directorate of Compliance and Oversight had infiltrated Afghanistan from a Daesh Khorasan training camp located in Mastung, Balochistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Subsequent operations in Kabul and Faryab provinces resulted in the neutralization of two insurgents, while several others were taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of the arrested individuals had recently returned to Afghanistan from the Daesh Khorasan training camp in Mastung, Balochistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is important to note that following a series of defeats inflicted by the Islamic Emirate\u2019s special forces, the remaining leaders and operatives of Daesh Khorasan have, with the assistance of certain intelligence agencies, relocated to Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where they have established new operational bases and training camps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From these new bases, they continue to orchestrate attacks, both within Afghanistan and in other countries. Moreover, they are actively targeting religious scholars, clerics, and members of religious, political, and spiritual organizations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These insurgents are being exploited by certain external factions for their nefarious agendas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
