Ministry of Mines and Petroleum officials stated that the contract, which allows the Turkish company to explore, extract, produce cement, and deliver social services, has a 30-year term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The establishment of this cement production plant will directly create around 1,200 jobs for local citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It is worth noting that prior to this project, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum signed contracts valued at approximately $476 million with several domestic and foreign companies for cement projects in Jabal al-Saraj, Kandahar, and Herat, aiming for the country&#8217;s self-sufficiency in the cement sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, a contract has been signed today, October 29, 2024, between the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum and the Turkish 77 Company to build a large cement production plant in the Yatim Taq area of Jawzjan Province.
