The regular meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission was held on July 21, 2025 at the Marmarin Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During this meeting, the Fish Farming Sector Development Plan and the Agriculture and Livestock Sector Development Policy were presented for discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following a comprehensive discussion and with due consideration of the Ministry of Water and Energy’s inputs, the Fish Farming Sector Development Plan was deemed endorsable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the plan, 7,700 fish farms will be established across the country. This initiative is expected to meet up to 90% of the national demand for fish meat and directly or indirectly create employment opportunities for 300,000 citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The plan has been referred to the Economic Commission for final decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting also included a discussion on the Agriculture and Livestock Sector Development Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After thorough deliberation, officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock were instructed to incorporate the comments of the Ministry of Water and Energy into the policy and present its finalized version at the next session of the Technical Committee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
