On February 17, 2025, the 16th Cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was held under the leadership of Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, where discussions were held, and decisions were made on several issues.
During the meeting, the General Directorate of Emirate-Owned Companies was assigned to expedite the electricity supply process and take necessary measures in this regard.
Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs was tasked with convening a meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Water and Energy and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) to clarify their operational directions in the electricity sector in detail and enhance coordination and cooperation.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy was instructed to oversee matters related to the utilization of the development budget and the timely implementation of projects in coordination with all relevant agencies.
Several other matters were also assigned to specific delegations, which were instructed to finalize their tasks and present reports at the next Cabinet meeting.
The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
