175 Development Projects Launched in Parwan Province

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has officially commenced 175 development projects in Shinwari and Salang districts of Parwan province, with an estimated investment exceeding 245 million Afghanis.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Acting Minister Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada.

The event was attended by key officials, including Parwan Governor Mufti Mohammad Idris Anwari, Chairman of the Parwan Ulema Council Mawlawi Abdul Wali Hamid, Director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development for Parwan Mullah Abdul Samad Sadiq, as well as district officials, religious scholars, elders, and youth from Shinwari and Salang.

In his address, Minister Akhundzada emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to foundational work in rural areas, aiming to lay the groundwork for sustainable development.

He highlighted that these projects would not only provide employment opportunities for local residents but also positively impact the region’s economic growth.

The projects encompass the construction of rural roads, bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and irrigation canals.

During the implementation phase, hundreds of laborers will be employed, and upon completion, these initiatives are expected to address various challenges faced by the residents of the respective districts.
