30 Standards Approved by the High Council for Standards

30 Standards Approved by the High Council for Standards Under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the second meeting of the High Council for Standards was held today, November 30,2024, at the Marmarin Palace.

During the session, 30 standards were approved.

The meeting was attended by the Director-General of the National Standards Authority, Mullah Faizullah Tamim, permanent members of the council, and representatives from the private sector.

In his opening remarks, Deputy PM Mullah Baradar Akhund emphasized the necessity of formulating and implementing standards to ensure the provision of quality domestic and imported products to the Afghan people.

He stated that the application of these standards would prevent the import and production of substandard goods, ensuring that the public has access to high-quality products.

He strongly urged all institutions to strictly implement and monitor the standards approved by the council.

The session presented 30 proposed standards for approval in various sectors, including: construction materials, food and beverages, medical equipment, mining, petroleum products, textiles, environmental protection, and electrical appliances.

After comprehensive discussions, the council unanimously approved the proposed standards.
