The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has launched 69 different development projects in the Wazikhwa district of Paktika province, with an estimated cost of approximately 86 million Afghanis. These projects were officially launched today during a ceremony led by the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, and his accompanying delegation.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, his delegation, the Governor of Paktika province Alhaj Mullah Abdul Khaliq Abid, the district governor of Wazikhwa, the Provincial Director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Mawlawi Ahmad, along with several other local officials, religious scholars, elders, and youth from the district.
In his speech, the honorable Minister emphasized the ministry’s commitment to further development efforts in Wazikhwa district and stated that they are striving to carry out similar initiatives in all underdeveloped districts of the country to the best of their capacity.
These projects include the construction of a check dam, rural roads, bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and canals.
During the implementation of these projects, hundreds of workers will be employed, and upon completion, the projects are expected to resolve many of the existing issues faced by the residents of the mentioned district.
