Today, in morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with Mr. Feridoun Shirullah, the Head of the Dutch Committee for Afghanistan at his office.
Alhaj Turabi Sahb warmly welcomed the visiting delegation from the Dutch Committee for Afghanistan and expressed appreciation for their assistance, stating, “We welcome your support and are keen to collaborate with organizations to facilitate their effective operations.”
He further assured that not only would the memorandum of understanding be signed without delay, but instructions would also be issued to the provincial directorates where the committee operates to ensure no obstacles hinder their work.
Subsequently, Mr. Feridoun Shirullah, Head of the Dutch Committee for Afghanistan, praised the authority’s efficient work processes and provided an overview of the committee’s activities. He noted that the committee operates in 30 provinces and strives to deliver aid to deserving individuals.
It is worth mentioning that the memorandum of understanding, valued at $314,288 (three hundred fourteen thousand two hundred eighty-eight US dollars), was signed. Through this agreement, emergency food assistance will be provided to 2,953 flood-affected families in the Charsadda, Dolaina, and Shahrak districts of Ghor province. The aid will be distributed in two phases, with food packages containing 89 kilograms of flour, 21 kilograms of rice, 7 kilograms of oil, 9 kilograms of lentils and 1 kilogram of salt. Each food package is valued at $80.
