Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Director General of the Office of the Prime Minister, met with officials from Turkish private companies in the mining sector and a number of professors from Istanbul Jarah Pasha University.
Officials from the Turkish companies described Afghanistan-Turkey relations as long-standing and expressed their desire to invest in Afghanistan’s research, exploration, and mining sectors.
Meanwhile, professors at Istanbul University stated that they wanted to provide both short-term and long-term scholarships to Afghan students in the fields of mining, agriculture, and medical equipment as part of an agreement with the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education.
Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi also appreciated Turkey’s assistance to the people of Afghanistan and stated that the Islamic Emirate is ready for any cooperation with domestic and foreign investors.
