Today, On Tuesday, 5th of November, Sheikh al-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, acting president of Afghan Red Crescent Society, held a meeting with Dr. Tariq Rahimi, the chief physician and the delegation of the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC), and discussed enhancing the quality of ventricular septal defect patients’ treatment, accelerating surgical procedures, discounts in cost of treatment and some other important issues.
During the meeting, Mr. Delawar expressed appreciated FMIC medical services and besides emphasizing on the importance of dedication and sincerity in the medical profession, urged that FMIC to deliver high-standard treatment for the ventricular septal defect patients referred by the ARCS, give priority for complex surgeries and called for cost discount to make treatment more accessible, highlighting the collective humanitarian effort to save lives is a charity.
Later on, Dr. Rahimi provided a detailed overview of FMIC’s healthcare activities and services and underscored the hospital’s commitment to offering top-tier medical care, including complex and simple heart surgeries through its skilled and specialized team of doctors.
The FMIC delegation also shared their suggestions and challenges concerning the treatment of heart patients and the implementation of a mutual agreement, while Mr. Delawar assured them to address these issues.
