The Afghan negotiating team in Istanbul submitted its final draft to Pakistan at 2:00 pm following 15 hours of continuous discussions.
The draft emphasizes that Pakistan must respect Afghanistan’s land and airspace and prevent any group or opposition from conducting activities against Afghanistan.
It also proposes the establishment of a quadrilateral channel to exchange information on violations and conduct assessments to ensure follow-up on the ceasefire agreement.
The draft was initially handed to the Pakistani side by the mediators, and a second draft was submitted at 6:00 am.
Both teams are scheduled to meet again at 12:00 noon today in the presence of mediators to work toward a final agreement.
