Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Jolan Vahabov, Adviser to the Deputy President of Uzbekistan and Head of the country’s International Institute of Central Asia.
During the meeting, Mr. Muttaqi emphasized that Uzbekistan has pursued a positive and goodwill-based policy toward Afghanistan and expressed hope that, based on this approach, bilateral relations and cooperation would further expand.
He also highlighted the role of research centers in strengthening mutual understanding and improving awareness of realities.
Meanwhile, the head of the Uzbek delegation praised stability and recent developments in Afghanistan, noting that bilateral trade has increased compared to the past and is expected to grow further in the current year.
