Mawlawi Matiul Haq Khalis, Director General of the National Environmental Protection Agency, met with Ilham Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Kabul, to discuss environmental protection, enhanced regional cooperation, technical knowledge exchange, and Afghanistan’s participation in international environmental forums.
During the meeting, Mr. Khalis called on Azerbaijan to facilitate Afghanistan’s official participation in the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31), scheduled to be held in Türkiye.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador described bilateral relations as friendly and enduring and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to pursuing the matters raised during the meeting and supporting continued bilateral cooperation.
