The death toll in Gaza has risen to at least 73 following relentless Israeli bombardment since dawn, most of the martyrs reported in Gaza City, medical sources told Al Jazeera.
Earlier, two missiles struck a school-turned-shelter east of the city, martyring dozens of displaced Palestinians. As civil defence teams rushed to the scene, another strike critically injured many rescuers and martyred six more civilians.
In a separate attack, at least seven people were martyred when a house was hit in the Daraj neighbourhood.
Israel’s assault on the besieged enclave continues unabated, with airstrikes targeting densely populated areas.
